Senior Quantity Surveyor

Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire | Up to £70,000 + Package | 1 Day Hybrid Working

Kitson Associates is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and respected regional contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead an exciting JCT Design & Build project circa £18 million, based across Nottinghamshire.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you'll take full commercial responsibility for a flagship £18m Design & Build project, ensuring costs are effectively managed from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of a £18m JCT Design & Build project.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Preparing valuations, cost reports and forecasts.
• Managing variations, change control and contractual risks.
• Negotiating subcontractor accounts.
• Producing monthly CVRs and reporting on project performance.
• Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams to maximise commercial performance.
• Managing final accounts and ensuring successful project close-out.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts.
• Experience delivering projects valued at £10m+.
• Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
