Kitson Associates is exclusively recruiting for an experienced Senior Land Manager to join an ambitious start-up partnerships housing developer in the West Midlands. This is a rare opportunity to join a business at an early stage of its growth and play a genuinely influential role in shaping its land strategy, pipeline and future team.

The business is looking for somebody entrepreneurial, commercially minded and hands-on, someone who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships and getting involved rather than stepping into an already established structure.

The Role

• Identify, source, appraise and secure residential land opportunities across the West Midlands.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents, local authorities, registered providers, promoters and other key stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations and progress transactions through heads of terms, due diligence, exchange and completion.
• Undertake site appraisals, viability assessments and financial analysis to support acquisition decisions.
• Work closely with Technical, Planning and Commercial throughout the acquisition process.
• Identify and unlock partnership-led development opportunities and build a strong regional pipeline
• Help build, develop and ultimately lead a land team as the business expands.

About You

• Proven experience as a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager within new-build residential development-Partnerships experience is essential
• A strong track record of identifying, appraising and securing residential development opportunities.
• Commercially astute, with strong appraisal, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Well connected within the West Midlands market.
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable working within a smaller, fast-growing business.
• Hands-on, proactive and willing to get involved across the land acquisition process.
• Motivated by the opportunity to help shape a business and build a team around you.
